HTC Touch Pro $79.99 with Alltel Contract after $100 MIR

Normally around $299.99 with contract. It says online only, but I called 1-800-ALLTEL1 and they said they could process the same price over the phone. When asked about the Alltel/Verizon merger, they said the plans rates could not increased more than 4% when verizon takes over. Any insider info would be helpful.
