This is a really cool gadget. You fill the resovoir with food and set a timer for your dog to be fed. Your dog will be fed at the appropriate time, it is battery operated so in the event of a power outage your dog will still be fed. Now your dog cannot let himself out so remember to still come home and let them out.

Also this is not the Dog feeding themselves!!!!! At a certain time that you choose the dog is given a prepared amount of food in which you pick! This is not a dog eats how much whenever he wants thing.
