OK. Here’s what I did. I saw this deal by Amazon for the Sony KDL55NX810 bundle (http://tinyurl.com/2cfyzvk). It was priced at $2399. I called Abt Electronics (located here: http://www.abt.com). I asked them if they would match this bundle from Amazon. They looked it up on the internet an said yes. I then went into the store to look at the tv and saw the Samsung 55UNC8000. They were having a sale with a similar bundle for that tv, but it was $2899. I then talked to a salesman if they would match the bundle on the Sony and give me Samsung 55UNC8000 for the same $2399. I was expecting him to say no. But he said YES. So ultimately, I got:
Samsung 55UNC8000 (55″ 3D LED, 1080p, 240 Hz)
3D starter kit (includes two 3D glasses along with Shrek 1,2 and 3 in 3D along with a voucher for Shrek 4 in 3D).
Samsung 3D blu-ray player.
YMMV as I was local to this store and actually went in there and got to talk to the person I talked with over the phone. However, even if you aren’t local this store will match any internet pricing over the phone.

These are not the world’s best sounding ear buds, but they are a significant improvement over the freebies that come with most MP3 players. Your kids may not pay enough attention to notice the quality difference between these and high-end ear buds. If they lose them alot, replacing $6 ear buds is much nicer than replacing $50 ear buds.
