As the title says, 50% off plants at Lowes in Austin, TX for this weekend (April 18 & 19). The catch is, its only offered at the stasney and I-35 location. Apparently the manager saw all the plants and said “Get rid of these things!! 50% off!”

Bought one last year when they ran for about $100 regular price all the time. At the eastside WalMart in Terre Haute IN, they have them marked down to $74.00. I saw one in the box, plus the display.
This (3405GW) is the smaller of two similar models they carried. The larger model had reviews complaining the heat couldn’t be set low enough, attributed to the large burner. This smaller model has the smaller burner, and temps are easy to maintain in the right range.
Like automobiles, computer power supplies, and beer there is a wide range of smokers out there: different sizes, brands, fuel source …. and every FWer who uses one has a strong opinion about them. 
So I’ll start by saying that this is not a Weber Bullet, and how can it be a *real* smoker if it doesn’t use wood/charcoal for fuel, and it’s smaller than many. However, for the beginner or lazy smoker (raises hand twice) who doesn’t Host Monster pulled pork parties, this is a nice deal on a solid and easy to use unit . . . IF you can find it marked down at your WM.
BTW, no I don’t have a receipt nor did I take a pic. Pretty sure I have the model number right. Very sure it was the smaller of the two models traditionally carried at WM. Cannot find this one at WalMart.com anymore. It’s big brother (3405BGW) is here.
